Bike Gearing

With your bikes weighing between 80lbs and 100lbs when fully loaded, I was wondering what gearing you are using (chain rings and cassette); the brands for your front and rear derailleur would be great too! Thanks, Nick

Hi Nick - Sorry so slow to answer this!

We both have standard mountain bike gearing and 26" wheels. 11-34 in the back and 22-32-42 (I think) in the front.

We have standard 9-speed mountain biking components. Shimano LX or XT or maybe an XTR. I think LX would be a great choice in all cases.
